So! “Bridesmaids” looks awesome, has gotten great reviews, and includes ridiculous talent including Kristen Wiig, Paul Feig,Ellie Kemper, Judd Apatow, Maya Rudolph, Jon Hamm, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Jill Clayburgh (legend alert!) and random members of Wilson Phillips. There are lots of reasons to see it (hilarity; supporting women in comedy, Jon Hamm shirtless) and there are lots of reasons for DUDES to see it (hilarity; picking up women supporting women in comedy, who are invariably hot;icking up women supporting women in comedy, who are invariably hot; I’m pretty sure you’ve heard of Judd Apatow).

So - for all these reasons and more, I am convening a BRIDESMAIDS party tomorrow. Buy your own tickets, cheapo, but otherwise join a group of awesome women and the men will have a much better chance of scoring with them for an opening-weeknd blowout!

WHEN: SATURDAY, MAY 14, 2011 @ 4:30 pm
WHERE: AMC Loews Kips Bay - it’s clean, big and convenient, ish. Our movie outing to TRON was there, and it worked well.
WHO: Cool people; Bridezillas; people who felt let down by 27 Dresses; people who are afraid they’ll be alone forever; people who like seeing Jon Hamm shirtless.

Won’t you join us, sisters? Ha ha. And brothers. Awww yeaaah. So anyway, if you want to join, this is how:

BUY TICKETS: http://bit.ly/l5Zc92
WATCH TRAILERhttp://youtu.be/nrRd2QSsGc4

….or launch your own Bridesmaids party! You know how to use Facebook, go ahead. And do it this weekend. Why is that important? I thought you’d never ask:

“Here’s why it’s actually important to see Bridesmaids. On opening weekend. I don’t know a female screenwriter, TV writer, actor or comedienne who hasn’t heard this statement in the past few months with regards to future projects: “Well, we’ll see how Bridesmaids does…” That sentence means that every creative, brilliant, funny woman in Hollywood is (unfairly) being held hostage to a single film’s opening weekend box office.”
- Why Bridesmaids Is Important, by Jamie Denbo

Come! Join! RSVP! See you tomorrow.

What she said. Come join!
