Today Is The Sixth Anniversary Of The Iraq War

Hi Tumblrs, just a quick request: Today’s the sixth anniversary of the Iraq War and it’s flying a little below the radar - help me remind people? I’m trying to get it out there on Twitter with two hashtags: #iraq6 and #iraqwaranniversary - I don’t really care which one you use but if you would take a moment to (a) Reblog this and then (b) Tweet that hashtag out there, I’d appreciate it a ton. There is a lot going on in the world - as usual! - but the spectacular lack of interest in the war in Iraq (and Afghanistan, which is getting play now but was not once dubbed “The Forgotten War” for nothing) is a sad and terrible thing. A trending Twitter hashtag may not exactly be the most heroic way to counter that, but it is at least something. So whatever you can do.
